Postal Testing Kit

How Do I Get a Chlamydia Postal Testing Kit (PTK)?

Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) , but the good news is that it's easy to test for and easy to treat. If you've had unprotected sex, it's important to get tested for Chlamydia. You can do this by using a Chlamydia Postal Testing Kit (PTK).

You can be tested using a Chlamydia postal testing kit (PTK), these are available in all pharmacies in Forth Valley or by emailing:
FV-UHB.FVPTK@nhs.net

The postal kits give people the option to be tested without attending a clinic or their Doctors. There are instructions with the kit and people are asked to provide a contact phone number so their results can be relayed to them. The kits fit into a standard post box and go straight to labs.

The postage and the kit are free.

The Dept will contact you by your chosen method of contact in 10 - 14 days to inform you if the results are negative or positive.

REMEMBER: your partner has to be treated as well.

It is advisable to be screened for Chlamydia every time you change your sexual partner and have sex without a condom.

If you live in Forth Valley you can pick up a free PTK from any Pharmacy within Forth Valley or you can order your free PTK here. Just fill in the form below.
