Gay men and having a healthy and good sex life

Sex is good for you! Sex has many health benefits, including relieving stress, improving cardiovascular health, increasing self-esteem and promoting good sleep. So highlighting the risks involved are not intended to ruin the fun.

It's worth a thought when it comes to the big moment, to think about taking care of your sexual health. Here are some tips!

* Use a condom! The Clinics at Central Sexual Health can give you free condoms and lube. You can also get condoms through the website www.condomsbypost.org.uk

* If you have any symptoms and feel something is not quite right, it’s not time to panic, it’s time to make an appointment . Get yourself to a clinic as soon as possible and avoid sex until they've given you the all clear

* Get yourself screened regularly for sexually transmitted infections. You could have an infection without showing any symptoms, so if you have an active sex life it's worth getting a full sexual health check up and HIV test every six months . Come and see us to get all your tests done

* Come and get yourself vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B

* If you need some support or just want some information we are more than happy to see you

* Central Sexual Health are on GAYDAR every Wednesday evening between 830pm and 1030pm in the Falkirk and Stirling chatrooms to offer support and advice
