More people than ever before are living with HIV, and with the complexity of their treatments, their side effects and interactions, it is important for GPs to know how to care for and communicate with patients. HIV Scotland has created an interactive audit tool for GP practices;
- it's quick and easy to use
- the results will show you how HIV friendly your practice is, the areas you do well and where you could improve.
The West of Scotland Health Managed Clinical Network (MCN) are currently producing guidelines on the management of certain sexual health conditions, such as managing Syphilis infection and Guidance for prescribing long acting contraception. These will be put on this site as soon as they are completed.

These British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) 2011 guidelines [pdf] update and replace the 2001 BASHH Guidelines on the management of adult victims of sexual assault - see below.

Description: Protocol on human trafficking
This protocol applies to all partner agencies involved in Community Planning processes across Forth Valley including services not specifically mentioned within this document and all services should utilise sections on referral mechanisms to front line services
The purpose of this protocol is to:
• raise awareness of human trafficking within agencies
• raise awareness of indicators of human trafficking for all staff
• support the investigation and prosecution of those who coerce, exploit and abuse people in this way
• facilitate a consistent response and approach to victims of human trafficking across all agencies within Forth Valley
