Sexual Health and Relationships for Young people with a Learning Disability
A new staff development course aimed at teaching staff, nursing staff and anyone who works with young people with a learning disability around sexual health issues.

Sexual Health Network Meeting

The Network meets annually. The aim of the Sexual health Network is to provide a forum for professionals to share good practice and also to receive information and updates on local and national developments in Sexual Health. If you would like to contribute/present at a future network please get in touch.
Minority ethnic LGBT Training
Free Training on providing sevices for minority ethnic LGBT - Training on providing inclusive services for people from minority ethnic backgrounds that may identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (ME/LGBT people). This unique training opportunity is open to all voluntary and public sector organisations in Scotland. Places are limited to 15 people per course so please book early to avoid disappointment - email sam@equality-network.org
Condom Skills Training
Training to assist those involved in sexual health promotion / condom distribution work to develop their confidence and skills around condoms. In this interactive training, participants receive information and demonstrations on the correct use of condoms and other products in the range. Contact Jenny Ewen to reserve your place.
SHARE (Days 1 & 2) Training
SHARE is a national programme of staff development which is designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills to support the delivery of sexual health & relationships education (secondary) in the classroom or in an informal setting. The programme will enable participants to explore and discuss issues that impact on young people's sexual health, whilst gaining experience of practical activities and methodologies that can be used when working with young people. The programme is open to teaching staff, nursing staff and anyone who works with young people around sexual health issues. The first two days are delivered consecutively with day 3 available at a later stage.
Our next training is on Monday 27th & Tuesday 28th February 2012. 09.00 - 16.00 approx both days. Venue - Camelon Education Centre, Room 14, Abercrombie Street, Falkirk FK1 4HA.

SHARE - DAY 3 Training
The day 3 programme reflects new materials included in the revised pack plus additional activities requested by participants. These include activities exploring influences that mould our perceptions of being male or female, and addressing lesbian, gay and bisexual issues. The pack also has guidance for adapting or supplementing the materials when working with young people with learning disabilities.
Speakeasy Facilitators Training
What is Speakeasy ? Speakeasy is a, fun and relaxed course for mums, dads and anyone who is caring for a child. Speakeasy is run by the Family Planning Association, and helps to build on what participants already know about growing up, relationships and sex.
